How to tell them apart
The flags of Greece and Uruguay are both nine blue and white stripes with a canton, so they’re easy to mix up at a glance. This is what gives each one away:
- Greece's canton is blue with a white cross; Uruguay's is white with a gold Sun of May.
- Greece's stripes start and end in blue; Uruguay's start and end in white.
