How to tell them apart
The flags of Cuba and Puerto Rico are both five stripes with a white star in a triangle at the hoist, so they’re easy to mix up at a glance. This is what gives each one away:
- Cuba has blue stripes and a red triangle; Puerto Rico has red stripes and a blue triangle.
- Cuba's flag is longer: 1:2, against Puerto Rico's 2:3.
