Tell them apart
Luxembourg vs Netherlands flag
How to tell them apart
The flags of Luxembourg and the Netherlands are both horizontal tricolours of red, white and blue, so they’re easy to mix up at a glance. This is what gives each one away:
- Luxembourg's bottom band is a light sky blue; the Netherlands uses a dark cobalt blue.
- Luxembourg's red is brighter too, next to the deeper Dutch red.
- Luxembourg's flag is longer: 3:5 (or 1:2), against the Netherlands' 2:3.
