Tell them apart
Liberia vs United States flag
How to tell them apart
The flags of Liberia and the United States are both red and white stripes with a starred blue canton, so they’re easy to mix up at a glance. This is what gives each one away:
- Liberia's canton holds a single large white star; the US canton holds 50.
- Liberia has 11 stripes to the US flag's 13.
