Tell them apart
Honduras vs El Salvador flag
How to tell them apart
The flags of Honduras and El Salvador are both Central American bands of blue, white and blue, so they’re easy to mix up at a glance. This is what gives each one away:
- Honduras has five blue stars in its white band; El Salvador has a coat of arms in a laurel wreath.
- Honduras uses a bright turquoise blue; El Salvador's is a dark royal blue.
