Tell them apart
Guinea vs Senegal flag
How to tell them apart
The flags of Guinea and Senegal are both pan-African vertical tricolours of green, yellow and red, so they’re easy to mix up at a glance. This is what gives each one away:
- Guinea runs red, yellow, green from the hoist; Senegal runs green, yellow, red.
- Senegal has a green star in its yellow centre band; Guinea's flag is plain.
