Tell them apart
Ecuador vs Venezuela flag
How to tell them apart
The flags of Ecuador and Venezuela are both yellow, blue and red horizontal bands from Gran Colombia, so they’re easy to mix up at a glance. This is what gives each one away:
- Ecuador's yellow band fills the top half; Venezuela's three bands are equal.
- Ecuador has a coat of arms in the centre; Venezuela has an arc of eight white stars in its blue band.
