How to tell them apart
The flags of Denmark and Iceland are both Nordic crosses, with the upright set towards the hoist, so they’re easy to mix up at a glance. This is what gives each one away:
- Denmark has a red field with a plain white cross; Iceland has a blue field.
- Iceland's cross is red, edged in white.
