Tell them apart
Colombia vs Venezuela flag
How to tell them apart
The flags of Colombia and Venezuela are both yellow, blue and red horizontal bands from Gran Colombia, so they’re easy to mix up at a glance. This is what gives each one away:
- Venezuela's three bands are equal; Colombia's yellow band fills the top half.
- Venezuela has an arc of eight white stars in its blue band; Colombia has no stars.
