Tell them apart
Colombia vs Ecuador flag
How to tell them apart
The flags of Colombia and Ecuador are both yellow, blue and red horizontal bands from Gran Colombia, so they’re easy to mix up at a glance. This is what gives each one away:
- Ecuador has its coat of arms in the centre, topped by a condor; Colombia's flag is plain.
- Both give yellow the top half, with blue and red below, so the emblem is the tell.
