How to tell them apart
The flags of Andorra and Moldova are both vertical tricolours of blue, yellow and red, so they’re easy to mix up at a glance. This is what gives each one away:
- Moldova's emblem is an eagle holding a cross; Andorra's is a quartered shield with two cows in one quarter.
- Andorra's yellow centre band is wider than its blue and red bands; Moldova's three bands are equal.
- Moldova's flag is longer: 1:2, against Andorra's 7:10.
- Andorra's blue is a deep violet-blue, darker than Moldova's.
